by Erikas BeitnorasIngredients:
- 1 Egg white
- 1/4 cup (32 grams) White sugar
- 1/4 cup (32 grams) Almond flour
- 1/3 cup (43 grams) Powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp Matcha powder
- 1/4 cup (32 grams) Cream cheese
- 1/2 cup (75 grams) Powdered sugar
- 1 tsp Milk
Instructions:
-
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking tray with baking paper. -
Whisk the Egg White:
Using an electric whisk, beat the egg white until fluffy. Gradually add the white sugar and whisk until stiff peaks form. -
Fold in Dry Ingredients:
Sift in the almond flour, powdered sugar, and matcha powder. Gently fold these dry ingredients into the egg white mixture until well combined. -
Pipe the Macarons:
Transfer the mixture to a piping bag fitted with a round tip. Pipe small circles onto the prepared baking tray, spacing them about 1 inch apart. Tap the tray to remove any air bubbles and let the macarons rest for 1 minute. -
Prepare the Filling:
In a medium bowl, whisk together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth and creamy. -
Bake the Macarons:
Bake the macarons for 15 minutes. Allow them to rise and form a slight crust. Once baked, cool them for a few minutes before removing them from the tray. -
Assemble the Macarons:
Pipe a small amount of the cream cheese icing onto one macaron half, then sandwich it with another half. Repeat with the remaining macarons. -
Chill and Serve:
Let the macarons sit in the fridge for at least an hour to set the filling. Enjoy your delicious Matcha Macarons!
Note: Adjust the amount of matcha powder to your taste and add food coloring if desired for a vibrant appearance.
